This pandemic has taught me a lot about myself as an artist and a performer. Normally, I’m out on the road throughout the year giving concerts and making music for people. That’s my joy, my art, my calling, and my livelihood. Since I’ve been “locked down” at home, I’ve had a lot of time to explore other ways of expressing myself artistically, and to look for other methods of connecting with my fans.
It turns out I like shooting and editing little movies and music clips, and I’ve finally had the time to begin learning the process. I’ve also had the time to record myself singing and playing songs that I seldom (if ever) play live, something I’ve been meaning to do for years.
That’s what led me to Patreon. It’s a chance to continue making music and performing for folks, and also a chance to try some new things, like sharing my experiences from three decades in show business. I’ve met and made music with a lot of cool folks, and I’ve seen and heard some interesting things. I want to share some of those stories with you. I also know some of you have questions for me about my music, my recordings, my songs, and my creative process—and I think this platform can help me answer some of those.
